Special Hajj Intructions

Please read the following carefully
1
During our stay in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, there are times when there will be unusual delays resulting in waiting time to be many long hours. Travelling time also can be long hours. All hujjaaj are advised to prepare themselves before traveling especially if there are any medical situation that need attention.
2
HAJJUSA or its affiliates will not be responsible for your medical condition and you are advised to take extra medications during your trip in case of unpredicted delays from airlines or any other source. HAJJUSA will assist in the event of an emergency but their services will be limited. Medication should be kept on person at all times.
3
The scholars in the group will conduct classes in the Hotel prior to the Hajj rituals. If anyone needs additional Islamic information, the scholar/s will be available to assist.
4
You are also advised to buy books and read up on the rituals. If you cannot get that information, please request a tape from us, inshallah. Hajj information is also available on our website at: hajjusa.com
5
The Hujjaj are advised to work with instructions given by the group leader. It is for the benefit of the whole group. Do not think about yourself only. There may be members in the group who cannot do certain things perfectly. Be patient and try to accommodate them.
6
When you arrive in Saudi Arabia, ask your group leader for the office number you belong to. That office number given to you will help you in the event you get lost.
7
If for some reason you get lost in the Haram, exit the Haram and go to one of the calling booths around the Haram area. Call the hotel and let someone know that you are lost. Most of the time the group leaders have a cellular phone. Get that number and keep it with you.
8
Remember to have the name of your hotel with the telephone number at all times with you in the event that you get lost.
9
Try to identify points in Masjid Al-Haram for easy access especially if it is your first time to Hajj. Identifying landmarks is very important during the trip. Do the same in Mena because all the tents look the same and you can easily get lost. Look for signs that will help you identify your camp.
10
If you are going out alone, let someone know of your whereabouts even if you are going to the bathroom. The Hujjaj is advised to move in groups of two or three.
11
HAJJUSA is not responsible for your money or valuables. You are advised to keep your money in your possession at all times. Try to make special pockets on your clothing with special zippers to keep your money safe. Keep suitcases locked.
12
You are advised to copy all your important documents such as passports, greencards and airline ticket. You must keep these copies safely during your trip. Those who are traveling as a resident alien must walk with their original greencard for re-entry into the USA.
13
During the Manasik, daily classes and lectures will be given by the scholars in the group. Instructions will be given as to what will be done the next day.
14
The Hujaaj is advised NOT to go and stone Jamaraat by themselves. Always go in groups. If anyone get misplaced during the trip to the Jamaraat or elsewhere, try to get to the office where you belong. After that, call the group leader. Most of the time when someone is discovered missing, the group leaders will look for them at the office where they belong.
15
HAJJUSA is not responsible for lost suitcases through airlines or otherwise. If your suitcases does not arrive with you on the flight, the most that HAJJUSA can do is to make a complaint to the airline. After that, it is up to the airline to find the suitcase.
16
The Hujaaj is also advised to visually check their suitcases during group movements. They must see that their suitcases are loaded and unloaded on buses or other vehicles transporting the luggage.
17
HAJJUSA strongly advise that each Hujaaj who register with the group should be mindful that the conditions in Saudi Arabia is not the same as in the USA. Ask questions before joining our group so there will be no surprises when you arrive in the Kingdom.
18
Try to drink bottled water most of the time during your stay in the Kingdom.
19
Ziyaraah will only be done in Madinah.
20
Be very patient during the trip. In the last part of the trip most people become irritable because of the fatigue. Try not to be insultive to others and remember that you just completed something sacred for the pleasure of Allah.
